Dr. Christopher Tornack
Dr. Ac.
Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine
Dr. Chris Tornack is a Doctor of Acupuncture and founder of Tao of Health in Sylvan Lake, Alberta. His approach is unhurried, individualized, and rooted in the belief that symptoms make more sense when viewed as part of a larger pattern. He takes time to understand each person’s health history, daily life, physical concerns, and emotional well-being before building a treatment plan.
His care may combine acupuncture, Chinese medicine, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, individualized herbal support, essential oils, and restorative bodywork. Chris values honest conversation, careful observation, and adjusting treatment according to how the body responds.
At Tao of Health, patients are not treated like a list of symptoms. They are invited into a collaborative process designed to help them better understand their health and move toward greater balance.
Why Tao of Health exists
Because people deserve time, context, and care that makes sense.
I graduated from the Acupuncture program at Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton in 2005 and have continued studying every year since through continuing education, professional reading, research, and close clinical observation. Chinese medicine rewards lifelong learning: no two people present exactly the same way, and no textbook can replace careful attention to the person in front of you.
I founded Tao of Health as a place where appointments are not rushed, questions are welcome, and care is shaped around the whole person. My work brings traditional Chinese medicine together with attentive observation, hands-on treatment, and a commitment to understanding how each person’s symptoms, history, and daily life may connect.
What you can expect from me
Honesty, curiosity, and care without the conveyor belt.
I will listen carefully, explain what I see, and involve you in decisions about your care. I believe each patient is one of my most important teachers—not because the responsibility for care belongs to you, but because your body’s response provides information no theory or textbook can replace. Some cases are straightforward; others require patience, observation, and better questions. I will not pretend that one treatment or one formula is the answer to everything. We learn from your response and refine the plan as we go.
